Congratulations NACON - this year’s NACON CONNECT was *chef’s kiss*
The games publisher and accessories powerhouse treated gamers to a raft of news, sneak peaks and trailers at their annual event last week, kicking off an exciting year for the French team.
Fluid’s Branding team were tasked with providing key art creative and branding for a number of NACON’s 2025/26 titles, including first person co-op horror The Mound - Omen of Cthulhu, stealth action title Styx: Blades of Greed, and narrative investigation game Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. Using client-supplied CG models, the Brand team set to work on posing and paintovers, creating bespoke environments, assets and backgrounds to produce the perfect encapsulation of each game’s core vibe and central messaging pillars.
Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss creative oozes atmosphere, conveying the visceral fear found in the depths of a vast, hostile ocean, whilst Styx: Blades of Greed lightens the mood with brand art infused with dark humour, messaging the game’s stealth mechanic and vertical freedom within a medieval fantasy world. Styx the goblin’s caustic wit connects with the gamer through our cheeky pose, set high amongst an ancient cityscape which invites gamers to scale, sneak and survive.
The Mound takes us to a Lovecraftian universe, for a co-op game where perception and reality are constantly in flux. Still a work in progress, we’ll unveil our full creative soon, showcasing key art which messages the game’s themes of fear, camaraderie and uncertainty set in the malevolent jungle.
