Today marks the launch of Capcom’s bold new sci-fi IP, PRAGMATA, a game making serious noise, not least thanks to Fluid’s latest masterpiece: a press kit dubbed “one of the most insane ever created.”

Set against the backdrop of a lunar research station gone dark, PRAGMATA follows spacefarer Hugh and the mysterious android Diana as they navigate a hostile, AI-controlled environment shaped by the discovery of Lunafilament, a material capable of replicating anything from data.

Following our stunning kits for Resident Evil Requiem™, Monster Hunter Wilds™, and Monster Hunter Stories 3™, the Capcom team tasked Fluid with producing 120 ultra-exclusive kits for global distribution.

PRAGMATA’s game world is defined by technology, uncertainty, and survival. Leaning into the game’s core themes of advanced tech, material transformation, and replication, the kit was designed as a highly engineered, multi-layered experience with a futuristic aesthetic, bringing the world of PRAGMATA into the physical realm via a complex and immersive build. Fusing concept and craft, the outcome reflects both the ambition of the title and the innovation behind it.

The kit utilises a mix of cool sci-fi and cute content/imagery, with a theme of light running throughout its design. Informational graphics guide recipients through the unboxing experience and content, akin to an overseeing AI.

The kit is built around a central LED display case, presented within a ‘Secret Box’ foldout bellyband featuring campaign imagery. The case is conceived and branded as if from the lunar research station, with a futuristic automated door/tray and LED lights to deliver content within an acrylic fitment.

A magnetised lid panel on the fitment is designed to look like the control panel of a spaceship. When removed, it reveals a further two ‘Secret Boxes’ of content: a set of ultra-premium Copic marker pens, playing on Diana’s drawings; four bag/keychain charms in differing materials, including glow-in-the-dark details, nodding to the Lababu trend; and an array of sticker sheets, all presented within individual futuristic sealed mylar sleeves.

The fitment sits on top of an underlying foam structure, within a bellyband featuring campaign imagery and foldout key art, revealing a USB-powered LED desk light featuring Diana and Hugh standing on the moon.

The kit also features a unique digital device, magnetically attached to the case lid, which recipients can activate to reveal a programmed slideshow introducing the game’s protagonists and editioning. Recipients are also able to reprogramme the device to display their own content for future use alongside the display case.

As with all Fluid kits, every detail has been carefully considered to echo the narrative, environment, and mechanics of the game. The result? A masterpiece conceived and created within an ultra-tight schedule, delivering a standout unboxing experience that’s already capturing the attention of press and creators alike.

It was an honour to collaborate with Capcom once again to create a kit that reflects their forward-thinking new IP. We’ll be sharing more on the creative thinking and production behind the kit very soon.
